📝 As of 1 October 2025, we will update our General Terms and Conditions

Good day, dear friends of Budějovice carsharing!

To ensure that our service remains safe, fair, and understandable for everyone, we need to update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. Therefore, the revised GoDrive Terms and Conditions will come into effect on October 1, 2025. The changes mainly concern newly registered users and clarify the rules in cases of damage. We understand that reading terms and conditions is not particularly appealing to most of you. That is why we have prepared an overview of the changes for you.

What specifically will change from October 1, 2025?

Point 1.5. The Lessee is obliged to take care of the vehicle and prevent any damage to it. The Lessee is liable for damage to the vehicle incurred between the time of taking possession of the vehicle and the time of its proper return in accordance with the lease agreement and these GTC; it is expressly stipulated that the Lessee is also liable for damage to the vehicle incurred at a time when the Lessee does not have the vehicle in its possession but has not yet returned it properly. The lessee is obliged to immediately notify the lessor of any damage to the vehicle that occurred at any time during the reservation period and to pay the corresponding amount of the deductible. The deductible amounts to

5% of the total amount of damage, but at least CZK 5,000. A flat-rate compensation for costs associated with damage to the vehicle (hereinafter referred to as "flat-rate compensation") of up to CZK 10,000 shall be added to this amount. In the event of total damage, the excess shall increase to CZK 25,000.

If a traffic accident occurs involving another road user, the lessee is obliged to draw up a traffic accident report with the other party, which is available in the vehicle. If the report is not completed, the lessor is entitled to demand payment of a contractual penalty of CZK 2,000, and the lessee is also obliged to pay the difference between the full and incomplete insurance coverage if the insurance company refuses to pay the full amount of the damage due to a missing or improperly completed accident report.

The lump sum compensation is an amount determined by the lessor and charged to the lessee in excess of the deductible, and its purpose is to cover the costs associated with the administrative and operational handling of the claim. This compensation applies up to CZK 10,000 and includes, in particular

  • Administrative costs associated with handling the claim, including communication with the insurance company and processing of documentation,

  • costs of assessing the technical condition of the vehicle and quantifying the damage,

  • costs related to the limited operability of the vehicle, including lost profits and any compensation to customers,

  • any other operating costs, such as towing fees or costs associated with providing a replacement vehicle.

The lessee is obliged to pay the excess and flat-rate compensation regardless of whether the lessee caused the damage and whether the lessee violated their legal obligations during the lease of the vehicle. In particular, the lessee is obliged to pay the excess in cases of collisions with animals, etc.

Point 1.8. In the event of any damage to the vehicle, the lessee is obliged to report this damage to the lessor via the Customer Service Line or support email and follow the lessor's instructions. The lessee is obliged to provide the lessor and its insurance company with all assistance and cooperation necessary for a full investigation of the damage and its settlement, or for its legal proceedings, otherwise the lessee is liable for any damage incurred by the lessor as a result of a breach of this obligation.

Point 3. 3. The rental fee does not include co-participation and flat-rate compensation, which may be added to it in the event of damage or theft of the vehicle. The rental fee itself is calculated as an hourly rate for renting the vehicle plus mileage, or a fixed rate if the user chooses one of the advantageous packages; fuel consumption is included in the price.
